The Future of Humanity

Our far future looks astonishingly bright. Here are some predictions for the bright future of humanity. These scenarios or predictions will be achieved in sometime near the future; granting the human race to advance as a civilization. Before we get started it’s worth noting that many of the predictions listed here is not 100 percent accurate and may be a little off.

NASA is taking a multi step approach to its ultimate goal of putting boots on Mars. NASA will send astronauts to Mars before the end of the 2030’s. But there’s no guarantee that NASA will get there first; several other organizations also have the Red Planet in their sights, and on more aggressive timelines.

Space X’s dreams are bigger than an orbiting Martian space station or small research outpost on the surface. Last month, the company’s billionaire founder and CEO, Elon Musk, announced that Space X aims to help establish a million-person Mars colony in the next 50 to 100 years. To make this happen, Space X plans to build the Interplanetary Transport System (ITS), which will combine the most powerful rocket in history that will ferry settlers to and from the Red Planet.

Space X isn’t the only group angling for a Mars colony. Mars One has the same goal, though on a much smaller scale. Mars One plans to launch robotic precursor missions to the Red Planet in 2020, 2022 and 2024, to lay the groundwork for the first settlers, who will launch in 2026 and land on Mars in 2027. If everything works out, Mars One will continue sending four-person crews to the Red Planet at every launch opportunity, gradually building up a permanent, self-sustaining settlement

What was once just a figment of the imagination of some our most famous science fiction writers, artificial intelligence (AI) is taking root in our everyday lives. We’re still a few years away from having robots at our beck and call, but AI has already had a profound impact in more subtle ways. Weather forecasts, email spam filtering, Google’s search predictions, and voice recognition, such Apple’s Siri, are all examples.

Virtual and Augmented Reality
